Hi,

I'm currently using the remote API to load a document in Zoho Writer and then have Writer save it back to my server. It's working great except that when I launch the writer, it is taking over the screen I was in, and then there is no way back to my application.

Ideally, I would like to open an iFrame within my application that contains the writer. I've experimented with using the different outputs available...however, due to cross-site-scripting domain restrictions, I can't POST to that URL and then parse the contents of the response for the iframe src. I could setup a proxy, etc etc but really don't want to get that complicated.

I see that other Zoho APIs provide a JSONP return type along with a callback function. Are there plans to have something similar for the remote API, or the proxy approach the only way for me to go at this point?

After installing Firefox Zoho Quickread extension, I could not find icon anywhere. I have Firefox 3.0.1. I have since discovered Zoho Doc's and now access it via a Firefox Scrapbook entry, but still it would be nice to save a step by hitting an icon in Firefox that would take me direct to Zoho Doc's. Is such possible? Does anyone have experience with accessing Zoho Doc's through Zoho Quickread extension? Thanks.

meyers : In Zoho Docs, currently documents are sorted by criteria - last modified time. It will not get retained while selecting another folder..

We will provide customizable option to list document (for all folders) in one of our future release.

The styling does not display properly in Firefox 3... and the skins are not fully extended to all headers (some shading is still the default skin).

The projecrt interface is generally a little clnky.. I would love to see it cleaned up and made to work in all browsers equally... especially if clients are going to log-in.

Any progress here?

The best I've been able to figure out is

o Create the doc in Zoho writer
o Create a group in "mygroups" with the members of the project team
o Share the doc with those people
o Somehow (through a forum post or whatever?) tell the "project" that the document exists and is ready for collaboration.

Seems klunky. Does anyone have a better solution?

I want to be able to view expected revenue by month on a graph in Creator, but I noticed that when I make a graph view, it plots by specific date.

Is there a way we could change add a feature to the graph report that will capture all data for a given month and create a vertical bar for "August" rather than one bar for August 12 and another bar for August 25?

Am I missing something? Creator is infinitely easier to use than Access, but once I have all my data in it...what can I do with the data other than look at it as if it were an excel sheet?

Does Zoho DB support data entry by forms? If not, it appears you have created a fantastic way to capture data, and a great way to report data, but unfortunately no way to do both.

I'm in sales and I'm trying to do a simple personal revenue projection in Creator. The only complication is that each sale has 2 pay dates, one pay date on sale and one on delivery of the product and all I want to do is create a graph or something that tells me TOTAL revenue (both first and second half) I can expect every month.

Can I do this in Creator?

My items contains of #hardware and #service.
If I create the report "Sales by customer", the amount include both hardware and service. It cannot reflect the actual profit (#service).
If I use report "Sales by item", I can know the total profit. But I cannot know the profit come from.

I am looking for report of "Sales by customer by item" and "Sales by item by customer".

PLEASE PROVIDE A QUICK ANSWER.

As can be seen in other posts of Writer forum, the AUTO-SAVE and HISTORY features still are causing a lot of trouble w/respect to LOSS OF INFORMATION.

As the main feature of any online application should be NOT TO LOOSE DATA, I hope that Zoro team is providing enough attention to the related issues.

It's been working pretty well for the past day, but this morning I can't seem to go BACK online. When I hit the Go Online button to synchronize my documents, the browser seems to hang forever. I have 20 documents I am trying to sync, and need to get them shared back to my students ASAP.

Using firefox 2.0.0.11 on an Asus eeePC running xandros.

Hi,

As of now, Creator does not support invoking any Scripts without performing any actions. We are planning to add a Scheduler in our future updates, after which, you will be able to perform actions based on the time/day. Then, you will be able to calculate the Age of a transaction on a timed basis.

Hi,

Under Account Settings, what we meant by "Edit their Permissions", you can change a User(Can only access application) to Developer(who can Edit/Add applications) and vice versa. If you are referring to the Permissions of adding/editing records, this has to be done in the Edit mode of that particular View. If you can let us know as to what kind of Permissions you are trying to set, we can assist you further.

Hello,
our salespersons hate "products lookup" window when they search for the product they wish to input into quotes/sales order/invoices. I attach a screenshot.
Is it possible to customize it and show only product names and prices. Or even better: to eliminate following columns:
SMOWNERID_FIRSTNAME
SMOWNERID_LASTNAME
SMOWNERID_ID
and to make relative width in description column so if some descriptions ate larger, the column could expand and not wrap a text.

Thanks for you feedback. I assume that you have added certain fields/sections as part of your customization. Then you have to provide proper permissions to other roles/your colleagues for the changes to be reflected.

Please follow the below steps to do the same
1. Login as admin
2. Go to Settings --> Security
3. Choose the resume form
4. Select the field permission tab
5. Select the field for which permission to be granted and change the permissions appropriately.
6. Repeat the above steps for all the roles

THIS IS URGENT. I CAN SEE THAT MY DOC HAS BEEN AUTO-SAVED because there is an asterisk appended to the doc name, BUT I DIDN'T FIND ANY WAY TO RECOVER IT. HOW CAN I RECOVER THE AUTO-SAVED VERSION ?
I have checked in History, and as you explained, the last autosaved version is not there, only a version two days old (!). I am adding to this thread because I searched all other related post to the AUTO-SAVE feature and didn't find any clue.
PLEASE HELP ME QUICKLY, as it's a professional issue for me,

Please ensure whether your time zone under Company Settings is in your timezone (e.x: Europe/Amsterdam). In case the timezone is changed, please correct it and try plotting the hours in timetracker.

If the timezone is correct and still you face the same issue, please send us a screen shot regarding this issue.

Though Sheet and Projects are under single sign-on, sheets in sheet.zoho.com cannot be linked to any project. This is because Organizational rights is required to link sheet to a project.

Once Organizational rights are given, we can provide the option to link sheet from sheet.zoho.com to projects. Please bear with us until then.
